Dear Parents,

We know that you will be concerned should your child be absent due to an illness that prevents them from attending school.  If your child feels well enough, please have them go onto their Google Classroom pages to hear the lessons that have been recorded live and to get any missed notes or assignments for the day.  This will allow them to stay caught up while out of school.

The current homework policy on page 10 states that student assignments and tests are to be completed upon returning to school within a time period equal to the length of the absence. Please be assured that we will provide him/her with ample time to complete any missed assignments if for some reason they cannot do so through Google Classroom.

You will find all assignments posted to our Google Classroom pages. We will be recording and posting all direct instruction daily.  We will also post any notes given as well as any homework assigned with that instruction.  Please keep in mind however, that your child's agenda should always be the first resource referenced when checking homework assignments due to unexpected technological issues that may arise.

Please bring at least 1 box of tissues to your HM RM teacher so we all have tissues for the year.

EASY dictionary - Longman Dictionary - Student friendly dictionary that helps students better understand the MEANING of words

AVERAGE dictionary & thesaurus - Dictionary.com - Definitions are more difficult to understand. This dictionary is best used for the THESAURUS. 

Students will complete much of the reading and writing in class; however, they are expected to practice typing.com regularly and read 20 minutes each night from a book of their choice (called an IR or Independent Reading book) and respond to prompts on a regular basis.
