Summer Programs
Taking summer college courses or being involved in a summer career program will help you build your portfolio for college. It is also a great way to determine if the career direction you are heading toward is the right one for you. Many of these programs are also a great addition to your college applications.

- Penn State Berks Youth Summer Camps 2024- Various 4-day camp opportunities held at Penn State Berks from June 9 - July 31, 2025. Also, one overnight camp for high school students interested in business and entrepreneurship held from July 27 - August 2, 2025. - Elmer Hafer American Legion State Police National Guard Youth Camp - This is a six-day camp being held June 8 - 14, 2025, to introduce students interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or a branch of the military. The program includes but not limited to marching in platoon formation, participating in a drill competition, physical training, forensics, canine, SERT team, drug laws, marksmanship course, and familiarity with weapons. - Adelphi University "Summer Pre-College Program" - This program invites students to live and learn on Adelphi's beautiful flagship Garden City campus, located just minutes from the tranquility of Long Island beaches and a short train ride to Manhattan. Students will engage in hands-on, high-impact learning with faculty members and industry experts in subjects like Art & Digital Production, Business & Society, Computer Science and Coding, Introduction to Nursing, Political Science, Psychology & Pop Culture, Race, Gender, and American Film, Science, Medicine, & Society, Social Work & Society, and Teaching & Teacher Education. - Messiah University "Keystone Boys State" - This premier leadership development program for young men is being held June 15 - 21, 2025. The core of KBS is an in-depth simulation of state and local government in Pennsylvania, in which participants conduct the operations of city, county, and state government. As part of a two mock political parties, participants vie for office and work to pass legislation to overcome political, economic, and social challenges. They also have opportunities to establish and operate businesses, run an active television and print media enterprise. - Temple University - Tyler School of Art & Architecture Summer 2025 Pre-College Programs offer rising 10th through 12th graders an enriching experience at a major university. Beginners through advanced-level students will learn new skills, have fun, and form lasting relationships with peers and mentors. - Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week - One week this summer could change everything! Take a giant step toward your future! - Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State - Bellisario Summer Camps offer high school students hands-on experience in the communications fields. Students get to experience campus life, gain valuable communication related skills and make life-long friends. This weeklong summer camp is from July 6-11, 2025. This camp is perfect for students interested in school newspaper, television broadcasts, yearbook, writing, filming, and theater. - Waynesburg University "CSI Camp 2024" - If you've ever wondered if the lab and forensic techniques on the television shows are real, find out for yourself and register for Waynesburg University's annual CSI Camp! CSI Camp will be held from June 9 to 13, 2025, and is designed to give students hands-on experience of what they can expect in the forensic science and criminal justice majors, and ultimately, occupations. Students entering 11th grade, 12th grade, or who are spring 2025 high school graduates are eligible to attend our Camp. - Marist College - Marist College Pre-College Program gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take hands-on college-level courses in a variety of subject areas, learn from experienced faculty, and earn three transferable college credits. This program, which offers 20 courses to choose from, is being offered- in-person and virtually in three sessions. - University of Delaware "Edge Summer College Program" - Edge is a three-week, credit-bearing college experience held July 20 - August 9, 2025. Edge is designed for accomplished and highly motivated students going into their junior or senior years. Students in Edge will have the opportunity to prepare for college as they learn from engaging with highly-respected University of Delaware faculty and staff, take part in on- and off-campus activities, and build relationships with other students from all over the world. - Boston University "Summer Term High School Program" - Five exciting programs for high school students being held June 29 - August 8, 2025. All the pre-college programs provide students with rigorous and collaborative college life experiences that enable them to gain a strong sense of their personal and academic potential. - Stanford "Pre-Collegiate Studies Program" - Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies strives to enhance the education of motivated, intellectually curious, pre-college students. This summer, they are offering several online and residential academic enrichment programs. The Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes Program is held for current grades 8-11. Session One: June 16 - June 27, 2025, and Session Two: July 7 - July 18, 2025. Applications are now open at https://spcs.stanford.edu/programs.
- Alfred University "Summer Programs" - These summer programs provide students with opportunities to learn more about specific career fields, to sample life on a college campus and to meet other students with similar interests as well as academic and athletic ability. - Drexel University's College of Arts & Sciences - Drexel's summer academic programs are summer camps open to highly motivated high school students who wish to explore what a university-level program is all about. Workshops are being held from July 7 through August 1, 2025, and are led by Drexel faculty and utilize Drexel's labs, facilities, and the city of Philadelphia's many resources. Programs are offered in a variety of disciplines, ranging from environmental science and mathematics to journalism and global studies. - Lebanon Valley College "Actuarial Science Summer Camp" - An actuary is a business professional who uses mathematical and financial tools to help identify and manage risk, so it's a great career for students who are strong mathematically but who are not necessarily interested in teaching. It's also great for students who like business and have good math aptitude. They run a one-week summer program for rising high school seniors who want to learn more about the profession. - Lebanon Valley College "Computer & Data Science Camp" - This Coding Camp is a week-long intensive program for rising high school juniors and seniors designed to help them decide if they're interested in computer programming and data science careers. Students will learn and use Python to solve programming and data science problems as part of a team. The camp will take place June 22 - 27, 2025. During the week, students live on campus in a residence hall with Resident Assistants who are current LVC students and eat their meals in the Allan W. Mund College Center. - Syracuse University - Pre-College Summer Programs are being held July 6 - August 8, 2025. Build your confidence, gain enthusiasm and feel more prepared for college. Experience college-level coursework taught by Syracuse University faculty and staff in one of our pre-college programs for high school students. They offer on campus, on location, online and Hybrid programs. Programs are held 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks long. There are credit and noncredit courses offered. Explore college majors in 100+ courses. - Saint Francis University "Summer Academies" - The Summer Academies are one-week, residential, immersive programs for high school students who are currently in grades 10 and 11 (and are at least 15 years old) and are interested in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics. - Lehigh University/Iacocca Institute "Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Intensive" (IGEI) - The Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Intensive is a four-week, immersive, experiential learning opportunity for high school students to develop skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and global citizenship. At IGEI, we prepare participants to take on complex, multi-system, global challenges in creative and collaborative ways. - ABC (Associated Builders & Constractors) Keystone "All 'bout Construction Camp" - A no-cost construction camp for girls ages 14-10 being held June 16 - 19, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The mission of this camp is to educate, strengthen, and amplify the success of women in the construction industry. - Cornell University - Cornell SCE Precollege Studies is being held between June 2 and August 1, 2025. Take courses on the beautiful Cornell campus as a commuter or residential student. - Worcester Polytechnic Institute - Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs - LAUNCH - A day program for rising 9-11th graders held June 23-27, 2025, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. FRONTIERS - A two-week residential program for rising 10-12th graders held Session I: July 6-18, 2025, Session II: July 20-August 1, 2025. And COLLEGE CREDIT JUMPSTART - A five-week online pre-college for rising 11th & 12th graders held July 7-August 8, 2025. - Lehigh University - Materials Camp - Lehigh Valley is being held July 7-11, 2025, at the Whitaker Lab on the Lehigh University campus. This is a hands-on lab activity camp with guest speakers from academic and industry. No charge for students selected to participate.
